THE VIDEOGRAPHER

As typical with most families, I was that child always on camera. Mom was so proud of her only child that I might actually have every year of my life recorded in some form or another. Her 1st child, little me, three years old and not understanding how or why the kid in the t.v. screen looks like me, but isn’t moving with me like in a mirror. Eventually, I wanted to use the little life copier. When I did, a life of video officially started for me. I found all kinds of ways to use this tool of creativity. When I was old enough to be alone with a camera, my own camera, I ventured into stop-motion animation, and home movie making. This was long before the days of YouTube and Google video. This was unexposed publicly, extreme creativity, and fun with a camera. To this very day my collection (not including mom’s) is a staggering 80 tapes of vhs, vhs-c, 8mm, hi-8, super vhs, and Mini DV. Currently, I have video as one of my strongest artistic points and have mastered camera angles, steady-shots without equipment, sound, and self-shooting. This is a professional trait now, and I am willing to share it with any who need my help.
